The article is finally out! My partner Dr. Thierry Badard prepared an article for the magazine Geospatial Today and you can find it on page 34 (pp. 34 to 37) of the November issue (#24, 11-2010). The title is “Developing geospatial business intelligence solutions” and briefly covers 1. BI concepts, 2. Merging geospatial and BI technologies (touches GIS, classical BI tools and GeoBI) and 3. presents the Open Source GeoBI projects you can find on Spatialytics.ORG. Spatialytics to participate at the S2LQ 2010 conference in Quebec City, December 6-7 ( @S2LQ )

This first edition of S2LQ (Salon du Logiciel Libre du Québec) will take place on 6 and 7 December in Quebec (Laval University). This event is organized by the APELL (Association Professionnelle des Entreprises en Logiciels Libres) and Spatialytics is a member of this association. The opening of the salon should be marked Monday, December 6 by a speech in French from Richard Stallman, who launched the development of the GNU operating system (see www.gnu.org) in 1984. The title of his presentation is: “The Free Software Movement and the GNU/Linux Operating System, Free Software and Your Freedom.” The afternoon of Monday, featuring Nico Elema, the founding member of the Government Open Source Software Resource Center, which will deal with “Free/Open Source Software in government agencies worldwide.”
