For a complete GeoBI suite, the SOLAP Server GeoMondrian, PostgreSQL/PostGIS and SOLAPLayers (with OpenLayers complete or on top of an other Web-mapping technology) are needed to fully benefit from analysis in data cubes.

All robust BI suite share about the same architecture : on one hand, data sources go through an ETL tool able to properly feed a Data warehouse in the particular OLAP data model allowing further analysis using MDX requests via client-side OLAP manipulation and data mining, for showing results in dashboards and reports.
